GERMANY: Public transport users in Rhein-Main transport authority RMV’s ticketing region can now pay for travel using PayPal, which has been integrated into the RMV app and back office system supplied by Cubic Transportation Systems.
Weekly and monthly passes can also now be purchased through a smartphone.
‘It’s great to be able to expand our collaboration with RMV to give travellers more flexibility in how they pay for their journeys’, said Stefan Jacobs, General Manager of CTS Deutschland. ‘We were able to help RMV reach 20 million ticket sales earlier this year and are going one step further in mobile innovation by adding PayPal.’
