SCANNING: Trimble has launched the GEDO GX50 kinematic laser scanning system, which is designed to operate with its GEDO track measurement technology to support clearance analysis and asset data collection.
The GEDO GX50 features new Trimble-designed profiling lasers for high-accuracy data collection, and is available with one or two laser scanner heads which can be adjusted depending on use case requirements. The modular design allows the second laser scanner to be added when higher point density is required or faster trolley movement is desired.
GEDO GX50 works with the existing suite of GEDO track surveying and scanning field and office software. This provides fast and precise capture of high-resolution three-dimensional data for clearance verification and as-built data collection, and can be use as a basis for modelling in a BIM workflow.
