DENMARK: National passenger operator DSB is planning rail replacement services in København using IVU.rail resourcing and scheduling software.
This enables DSB’s planners to view rail and substitute bus services as one integrated timetable and automate several manual tasks.
‘The fact that we can now plan rail replacement services integrated with IVU.rail saves us a significant number of working steps and thus valuable time’, said Jacob Cramer Kjær, Planner at DSB. ‘With the old system, it often took several days to plan rail replacement services, but with IVU.rail it only takes a few minutes.’
