FRANCE: Alstom has awarded Teleste a contract to supply onboard technology for the fleet of Avelia Horizon double-deck high speed trainsets ordered by SNCF Mobilités.
Under the contract announced by the Finnish company on March 16, Teleste is to supply passenger information and public address systems, CCTV, audio and video recording, and TFT and LED displays.
In 2015 SNCF and Alstom formed a taskforce to develop the Avelia Horizon trainsets under the operator’s ‘TGV of the Future’ programme. SNCF Mobilités confirmed an order for 100 trainsets in July 2018, with entry into service planned over 10 years from 2023.
