RUSSIA: Transmashholding announced on September 8 that its Oktyabrsky Electric Railway Car Repair Plant in St Petersburg is to supply 27 six-car trainsets to the city’s metro for 13·4bn roubles.
The order comprises 54 driving cars, 54 intermediate motor cars and 54 trailer cars. The first trainset must be delivered before the end of June 2017, with 14 more to follow that year and the remainder to be delivered in 2018.
TMH is about to complete deliveries of 66 metro cars to St Petersburg, and is producing 20 eight-car train-sets from a subsequent order which are to be delivered by 2020.
