CROATIA: National passenger operator HŽPP has awarded Končar KEV a firm order to supply 11 electric multiple-units for Zagreb suburban services and 10 for regional routes
The first is to be delivered in autumn 2022, with the last to arrive by December 2023.
The EMUs will be a version of the Class 6112, updated to meet TSI standards. Features include low floors, passenger information systems, CCTV, wi-fi, cycle spaces, facilities for passengers with reduced mobility and ETCS Level 2 equipment.
The EU’s Operational Programme Competitiveness & Cohesion 2014–20 is covering 85% of the 844·7m kuna cost of the order signed on November 17, with the remainder coming from the state budget.
