TURKEY: A fire-fighting and rescue wagon has been rolled out by Türkiye Raylı Sistem Araçları in Eskişehir.
It has a platform with an equipment module and water tank containers which can be used to fight lineside forest fires or tackle fires on trains carrying petroleum products, and to provide assistance in the aftermath of a derailment.
The load capacity of wagon is 72 tonnes, equivalent to six fire-fighting road vehicles, and the maximum range of the onboard equipment is 100 m.
Minister of Transport & Infrastructure Adil Karaismailoğlu said all the equipment uses locally-produced components.
