Waggonbau Niesky, Wascosa and K+S are developing a hopper wagon for moisture sensitive loads.

EUROPE: Wagon manufacturer Waggonbau Niesky, leasing company Wascosa and commodities company K+S are developing a hopper wagon for moisture sensitive loads such potash, salt and fertiliser products. They plan to launch the wagon across Europe in 2018.

The 75 m³ Tanpps wagon would have central and lateral discharging ports to provide flexible unloading options, enabling the design to replace the current Tanoos and Tadns types. The DRRS 25L bogie with a compact brakes would have anti-corrosive properties suited to transporting salt.
