SWITZERLAND: Chemin de fer Lausanne-Echallens-Bercher has begun taking delivery of six three-car electric multiple-units being supplied by Stadler.
The Be 4/8 EMUs ordered in 2017 are derived from the Worbla units which Stadler has supplied to Regionalverkehr Bern-Solothurn.
The 23·6 km metre-gauge LEB route between Lausanne-Flon and Bercher is electrified at 1·5 kV DC and operated by Transports Publics de la Région Lausannoise.
Its fleet includes 10 RBe 4/8 units supplied by Stadler in 2010 and 2017.
