NORWAY: State-owned rolling stock leasing organisation Norske Tog is to deploy Trimble’s E2M engineering asset and maintenance management system on the fleet of vehicles it is to lease to operating contractors.
This is intended to provide the vehicle owner and the operators with an overview of the key data needed to support fleet maintenance, informing the allocation and approval of maintenance work, updating documentation and receiving maintenance history information from operators’ management systems to ensure regulatory compliance.
‘Specifically designed for rail operations, Trimble E2M will provide NT and the franchisees a system to manage the status and history of maintenance across fleets’, according to Tomas Larsson, General Manager of Trimble’s rail business. ‘Using E2M to efficiently manage maintenance programs will play a key role in minimising asset value depreciation and improve asset reliability while reducing operating costs.’
