UK: International transport, energy health and defence engineering group Assystem has acquired Schofield Lothian Ltd, a London-based company which has 80 consultants specialising in rail project consents & engagement, environmental services, project management and commercial management.
Assystem said the acquisition would expand its consents & engagement and environmental capabilities, benefiting its work in the energy sector, while Schofield Lothian would gain access to its digital tools and experience of managing major rail projects in France, the Middle East and India.
‘Schofield Lothian is a highly respected and well-established consultancy, and we are really excited about the combination of our two organisations’ capabilities, which we are sure will be a success’, said Thomas Branche, Senior Vice-President, Energy Transition & Infrastructures at Assystem, on October 11. ‘The combination creates a key partner for the UK transportation sector, helping to build safer, cleaner and more efficient transport networks.’
