UK: Spanish rolling stock manufacturer CAF has awarded Ford & Stanley a three-year contract to act as sole supplier of recruitment services for its UK rail activities.
This includes contract and permanent placements in engineering, operations, procurement, finance, business support and administration.
Ford & Stanley has already been involved with several projects for CAF, including the provision of a dedicated IR35 team which ran workshops to assist CAF and workers with the revised employment regulations that came into effect during 2021.
‘This strategic relationship provides a single route to market, with controlled recruitment processes’, explained CAF’s Head of Human Resources & Support Services Iain Taylor on January 5. ‘The co-ordinated approach between Ford & Stanley and CAF ensures compliance for both the workforce being supplied and for procurement processes.
‘The Ford & Stanley team listen to what the CAF businesses need and implement improvements where they can to enhance the experience. This has included providing an on-site recruitment co-ordinator for our facility in Newport and a remote interview solution which has been welcomed by our hiring managers.’
