UK: AI construction software specialist Alice Technologies has extended its technology partnership with HS2 Phase 1 civils contractor Align JV.
Align JV is using Alice Technologies’ construction simulation and optimisation platform to plan and build the C1 section of the Phase 1 route, For example, the construction schedule for one of the viaducts has been ‘stress tested’ by running multiple hypothetical scenarios to optimise the sequencing of work and the use of resources so as to minimise cost and environmental impact.
Alice and Align now intend to extend their cooperation to cover other construction challenges on the C1 section. One area of focus will be the optimisation of workflows and supply chain management to reduce carbon emissions, a national priority for the construction sector.
