UK: Specialist gauging consultancy D/Gauge has announced the planned release of its Rift software, which is designed to make clearance assessments easier and safer while also saving time.
‘The incumbent application used in the industry requires an elevated level of technical understanding and can take hours of manipulation and multiple processes to achieve the very minimum gauging standard’, said Managing Director Colin Johnson on March 22.
‘Rift has been optimised for track and infrastructure engineering. It is a powerful, cloud-based gauging application created by our in-house team of software developers and expert gauging engineers. The interface is intuitive and easy to use, and the assessments produced can take minutes compared to the hours currently facing engineers throughout the industry. It’s game-changing.’
He said Rift was highly detailed but easy to learn, avoiding the time, cost and ‘overall headache’ of complex training.
An online launch event for Rift is to be held on June 8.
