UK: The 24th Rail Business Awards have now opened for entries, with submissions invited for 18 different awards intended to recognise excellence and celebrate the very best of the UK rail sector.
Established as the first national awards for the UK rail sector, the Rail Business Awards are committed to recognising and celebrating achievements across all areas of the railway industry, from daily operations, safety and customer service to technical innovation and major projects.
In a rigorous process, our independent judging panel of rail industry experts will be looking to identify the very best initiatives, seeking evidence of people and projects that deliver improved performance and a better quality of service, as well as innovations to drive efficiency and reduce costs, contributing to the long-term sustainability of the UK rail sector.
Recognising Excellence in Adversity
The 24th Rail Business Awards will recognise the efforts of the industry in 2020-21 – a difficult year for the railway family. The sector has faced many challenges posed by the coronavirus pandemic, but adversity has brought many positive initiatives that deserve to be celebrated. So it is perhaps fitting that this year there are no fewer than seven ‘people’ awards designed to recognise the contributions of individuals and teams who make a difference to our fantastic industry.

The winners are due to be announced at a gala evening at the Royal Lancaster London on Wednesday February 23 2022. While we are all looking forward to getting together again, arrangements for the event will respect government guidelines, and take due regard of the Covid-19 situation nearer the time.
