UK: A capacity crowd of more than 450 guests will be attending the 24th Rail Business Awards, taking place at the Royal Lancaster Hotel in London’s west end on February 23 2022. All tables for the gala awards evening have now been sold, although a handful of individual seats are still available for late bookings.
Widely considered to be one of the best networking opportunities in the UK rail industry calendar, the long-established Rail Business Awards brings together industry leaders, politicians and CEOs to celebrate excellence across the UK rail sector.
Organised by Railway Gazette Events, the Rail Business Awards recognise the work done day-in, day-out to keep passengers and freight on the move, as well as the research and innovation taking place as suppliers and operators strive to improve performance and efficiency, creating the foundations for the railway of the future. With 19 awards up for contention, this year’s shortlist includes a wide mix of businesses large and small, representing all parts of the rail sector and its supply chain.
This year’s gala evening will be hosted by up-and-coming comedian Suzi Ruffell, described as one of the most promising comedy talents of her generation.
Although capacity remains constrained by the Covid-secure protocols put in place, the positive takeup suggests that the industry is looking forward to the networking opportunities presented by the return to a live event.
