UK: Greater Anglia and Virtual Tour Experts have created an online interactive virtual tour of Norwich station to help people with reduced mobility check how accessible their journey would be.
The virtual tour consists of a series of 360° photographs linked by clickable markers, with a feature that enables users to navigate from one part of the station to another using drop-down lists.
Prospective passengers can find out how to get to all public areas of the station, including the toilets, customer service desk, platforms and cafes.
The virtual tour was created with the help of feedback from members of Greater Anglia’s Accessibility Panel.
A similar tour has been created for Cambridge station, and Greater Anglia plans to add Bishop’s Stortford, Broxbourne, Chelmsford, Colchester, Ipswich, Shenfield, Southend Victoria and Stansted Airport in the coming months.
