UK: Rollins & Sons is now offering its Bulldog range of insulated hand tools in the rail sector, in response to demand from customers who were familiar with its products from other markets.
Each Network Rail approved PowerBreaker tool is manufactured in Wigan and individually tested in the UK, unlike tools from manufacturers which only test samples from larger batches.
Each tool has an individual laser-embossed identity number, so that if any problems occur during use the manufacturer can trace exactly when it was made.
The tools have double polymer layers bonded over a solid fibre glass core, with a strong seal to prevent moisture penetrating the shaft. The insulation is tested to 10 kV, and the forged heads are load tested to 125 kg.
