UK: A new main building at Kidderminster station was opened without ceremony on June 7. The glass-fronted structure built by Buckingham Group Contracting is double the size of the previous building.
‘The customer experience at the station will be vastly improved and the changes to the forecourt layout will make it much easier for pedestrians to access the building safely’, said Councillor Ken Pollock, Worcestershire County Council’s Cabinet Member with Responsibility for Economy & Infrastructure.
The project was funded by Worcestershire Local Enterprise Partnership and Greater Birmingham & Solihull Local Enterprise Partnership via the Local Growth Fund with contributions from Wyre Forest District Council and Worcestershire County Council.
