UK: Helen Wylde stepped down as Managing Director of recently launched London – Edinburgh open access operator Lumo on January 4, in order to take up a position outside the rail industry.
Phil Cameron, First Rail’s Commercial Projects Director, will act as Interim Managing Director until a permanent successor is appointed.
Wylde joined First Rail in March 2020 to lead the mobilisation of Lumo, which began passenger services in October 2021.
‘Having led the mobilisation through the challenges presented by the pandemic over the last two years, Helen leaves Lumo with its 100% electric, affordable and innovative service proposition firmly established’, said Andy Mellors, First Rail Managing Director Non-Franchised Businesses.
