UK: TransPennine Express is testing Everdelta station help points, which have a QR code which customers can scan with a mobile phone to obtain a link which enables them to connect with staff to obtain information or assistance.
The service is currently being trialled at Huddersfield, Hull, Malton, Barnetby, Seamer and Yarm.
‘We’re committed to making rail accessible for everyone and already have static help points installed at our stations, however the use of QR codes alongside Everdelta’s technology will create more opportunities for customers to contact us from more locations than ever before, including unstaffed stations’, said Customer Operations Manager Andrew McClements.
