UK: An initial four Train Operating Companies have begun using the S3 Passenger inventory management and reservations platform which Dutch company Sqills has supplied under a contract awarded by the Rail Delivery Group.
A further 14 operators are scheduled to follow by early November. S3 Passenger is expected to process more than 100 million passenger journey segments per year from RDG members.
Once the roll-out is completed, a total of 30 train operators in the UK, Ireland, Belgium, Canada, Italy and France will be using the platform, including high speed operators Eurostar and Thalys.
