UK: The Railway Industry Association has launched a RIA Exports Leadership Group, bringing together senior figures from UK-based rail supply companies to share their experiences of exporting goods and services and to offer advice and support.
‘It is particularly important at this time that we bring rail suppliers together to promote exports, with the UK negotiating free trade deals around the world, and as we look to build up our rail exports worldwide’, said RIA Exports Director Neil Walker on October 8.
‘We look forward to working with the RELG, RIA members and our partners in government, industry and overseas, to help UK companies make the most of future trade opportunities.’
RELG is chaired by Xrail Group CEO Munir Patel, with Andrew Went, UKIMEA & Global High Speed Rail Leader at Arup, as Vice-Chair.
‘I am excited to work with colleagues from across the industry to help showcase the world-class goods and services the UK has to offer’, said Patel. ‘With overseas markets opening back up post-pandemic, it is an exciting time to be working in and promoting UK rail exports.’
