INNOTRANS: Sheffield-based Zonegreen is showcasing its flagship Depot Personnel Protection System in the the British Pavilion in Hall 2.2 at InnoTrans.
Staff log onto the DPPS panels at the ends of sidings and record their locations using RFID tags, and Network Rail-approved derailers then prevent access for trains until the track is clear.
Zonegreen says its DPPS is installed in some of the most advanced maintenance facilities around the world, including depots in Dubai, Doha and Australia. It is used extensively in the UK, including at Thameslink, Elizabeth Line and Intercity Express Programme depots.
All DPPS installations meet SIL 2 hardware and software performance requirements, and Zonegreen says it is the only depot safety system on the market to comply with the latest Electromagnetic Compatibility standards. Its most recent RFID panel is also certified by Eurofins to meet the EN standards for radio emissions and railways.
