THE FOURTH edition of this Quail track map shows full details of railways in the west of England and South Wales updated to November 2005.
Extended to 48 pages, the latest edition includes 35 colour maps, highlighting electrified lines by type and extent, together with other major assets. The established Quail format for the schematic track plans shows all trackwork, stations, level crossings, tunnels, signalboxes and major infrastructure. The coverage includes Network Rail routes with distances and Engineers' Line References, plus minor lines.
Changes since the 2000 edition include alterations at Old Oak Common, track-doubling at Burngullow and revised layouts at Filton, Reading, Cardiff and Newport. The index has been extended to cover over 2200 locations, assets and other names.
