ROMANIA: Bucuresti metro operator Metrorex has confirmed that it plans to call tenders for the construction of Line 6 in September this year.
The 14 km line will run from 1 Mai station on Line 4 to Henri Coanda International Airport and Otopeni, with 12 stations.
Construction is expected to take 60 months, with the estimated €1bn cost financed from the national budget and state-backed loans agreed with Japan International Cooperation Agency.
