ALSTOM: Alstom has agreed to transfer its activities relating to V300 Zefiro very high speed trainsets to Hitachi Rail, which produces the trainsets in partnership with the former Bombardier Transportation business.
Divesting the Zerfiro V300 activities was one of the commitments Alstom made to the European Commission in return for regulatory approval of its acquisition of Bombardier Transportation.
The transaction was announced on December 1, and is expected to close in the first half of 2022.
Alstom said it would continue to honour obligations under existing orders placed by Trenitalia and ILSA.
