EUROPE: Alstom has completed the transfer of its activities relating to V300 Zefiro high speed trainsets to Hitachi Rail, which produces the trainsets in partnership with the former Bombardier Transportation business.
Divesting the V300 Zefiro activities was one of the commitments which Alstom made to the European Commission in order to obtain regulatory approval for the acquisition of Bombardier Transportation.
Announcing the completion of the transfer on July 1, Alstom said it would honour its obligations under existing orders placed by Trenitalia and ILSA to ensure a seamless transition.
It said the transaction complied with all applicable social processes and consultations with employee representatives, and was subject to regulatory approvals.
