USA: Keolis has joined the Greentown Labs Global Center for Cleantech Innovation as ‘terawatt-level’ partner, the highest level of engagement.
The Greentown campus in Somerville, Massachusetts, offers startup companies resources including prototyping and wet lab space, shared offices, a machine shop and an electronics lab. It is home to more than 100 startups, and has supported more than 250 since its inception in 2011.
Participation in Greentown will enable the international public transport operator to connect with startups working in areas such as fuel cell vehicles and portable electric vehicle charging.
Keolis executives will participate in pitch days, starting with an invite-only transport sector event on February 26. Clément Michel, CEO of Keolis North America, will sit on Greentown’s advisory board to provide strategic input on topics including growth planning and partnership development.
‘Greentown Labs shares our commitment to developing innovative mobility solutions and reducing greenhouse gas emissions’, said Michel on February 12. ‘We relocated our North American headquarters to Boston to take advantage of this region’s innovative and collaborative ecosystem. This partnership with Greentown Labs is another step in that direction’.
Greentown Labs CEO Emily Reichert said Keolis ‘has a global reach and deep transportation expertise, and we’re eager to see how our entrepreneurs and their executives collaborate to improve transportation, infrastructure and mobility around the world.’
