Andrey Vlsenko was appointed CEO of Transmashholding’s Novocherkassk Electric Locomotive Plant on February 7. He was previously CEO of the Bryansk plant, where he is succeeded by Vadim Yakovlev who was Director of Logistics at Tver Carriage Works.
Stadler has signed a long-term agreement with SGI City Immobilien for the lease of an assembly hall on the Neuhegi industrial park in Oberwinterthur. The site which is expected to be commissioned in 2022 with the creation of around 50 jobs will be used to for the production and storage of bogies for multiple-units and trams.
HSBC UK has provided financing to enable UK railway engineering company Xrail to purchase equipment, vehicles and office equipment to support its expansion into Saudi Arabia. Having won a long-term contract to provide maintenance services for the Haramain High Speed Railway, Xrail has opened an office in Jeddah and expects to recruit 70 staff locally.
On February 10 Vossloh AG’s supervisory board elected former Deutsche Bahn CEO Rüdiger Grube as Chairman. He succeeds Ulrich M Harnacke, who returns to his role as Chair of the audit committee.
