Rail welding and infrastructure inspection group Goldschmidt has combined all of its companies worldwide under the Goldschmidt brand. ‘From Shanghai to New York and from Sydney to Stockholm, the Goldschmidt brand is uniquely valued for its innovation and quality’, said CEO Dr Hans-Jürgen Mundinger. ‘We have grown dynamically over the last 10 years and have taken over numerous companies which kept their brands in a transition stage. Danish national operator DSB has appointed IT company Tata Consultancy Services as a strategic technology partner. The agreement includes data centre infrastructure services, SAP and a cloud platform.
Swiss company Duagon has acquired Spanish signalling company MNI Tech On Rails, which has offices in Madrid and Barcelona with more than 150 specialised engineers and has worked in 20 countries on four continents. Founder Ángel Saldaña will continue to lead TechOnRails as General Manager of Duagon Spain, which will be the group’s global competence centre for railway engineering and software development as well as the sales and service centre for Iberian and South American markets. TechOnRails shareholders were advised on the transaction by V4 Financial Partners (M&A) and Gómez‐Acebo & Pombo (legal) while Duagon was advised by KPMG (financial and tax), Baker McKenzie (legal) and Wingtec (M&A).
