Knorr-Bremse has expanded brake disc production capacity at its Berlin plant by 54%, investing €15m to add nine machining units and creating 27 new full-time jobs in the process.
Alstom says it expects to recruit 7 500 people worldwide in 2022. This includes around 6 000 engineers and managers, mostly in Europe and Asia-Pacific, and around 1 500 front-line staff and technicians, primarily in Europe, North America and Latin America, for projects relating to rolling stock, signalling and servicing.

Talgo is one of the founder members of SHYNE, the Spanish Hydrogen Network consortium of 33 companies, universities and associations formed to promote the use of renewable hydrogen as part of decarbonisation strategies. The consortium’s ambition is to reach an installed capacity of 500 MW in 2025 and 2 GW in 2030, half of the target set in the government’s hydrogen roadmap.
