RUSSIA: Rolling stock manufacturer Transmashholding has reported sales totalling 130bn roubles in 2012, up 22% on the 2011 figure of 106·3bn roubles.
The largest increase came from locomotive and wagon orders, with sales of mainline electric freight locomotives up 40% from 308 to 434 sections, and sales of diesel freight locomotives up 36% from 124 to 169 sections. Wagon deliveries were up 80% from 4 905 to 8 810 units.
Russian Railways remained the company's largest customer, but significant orders were also received from Bulgaria, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Ukraine and Serbia.
