USA: Trinity Industries has acquired RSI Logistics, which has Software, Logistics Services, Terminals and Intermodal Transportation divisions active in the North American rail sector.
The $70m deal was completed on March 8, with Trinity saying it would retain all RSI employees.
‘RSI expands the breadth and quality of Trinity’s platform, adding logistics services, terminal operations, and intermodal transportation’, said Trinity’s President & CEO Jean Savage.
‘Coupling RSI’s expertise and reputation’ with the ‘transformational technology’ of Trinity’s Trinsight wagon data monitoring platform ’will deliver a unique tool to rail shippers to gain more control of their supply chains’, she added.
