UK: Unipart Rail announced on January 4 that it had acquired 100% of the share capital of Park Signalling Ltd, a Stockport-based company established in 2000 which offers signalling, telecoms, control and monitoring equipment for the UK and international rail markets.
Park Signalling Ltd will continue to trade as an independent business, with ‘the ongoing security and support’ of Unipart Rail. Its management team will remain in place, with John Slinn becoming Technical Director and Anthony Isaacs succeeding him as General Manager.
‘This acquisition complements the Unipart Rail product and service portfolio’, said Graham Jackson, Managing Director of Unipart Rail Manufacturing & Infrastructure. ‘The synergies, along with our combined skills and expertise, will enable both businesses to access new markets and to continue to develop and expand our offering.’
