CHINA: Hong Kong's MTR Corp has installed two custom-designed 'child-friendly' ticket gates at its Disneyland Resort station. The gates are 100 mm lower than standard, and decorated with characters from the Toy Story films.
'For obvious reasons, Disneyland Resort Station serves more child passengers than other MTR stations,' said Operations Manager Ben Lui. 'For these young passengers, their visit to the theme park actually starts when they ride on the special Disney-themed train. Now, with the child-sized gates, young Disney fans will find their travel experience even more exciting.
'Other than their height, the new gates function like any normal ticket gate, so we welcome park visitors of any age to use them.'
