This organisation is responsible for railway safety issues; it was formed in January 2010 by merger of the Finnish Rail Agency with Finnish Maritime Administration’s safety functions, the Finnish Vehicle Administration and the Finnish Civil Aviation Authority; it reports to the Ministry of Transport & Communications.
