Running south from Genesee Jc (Rochester, NY) to Avon and Lakeville, serving Monroe and Livingston counties in western New York state, with a short branch to Henrietta. The section from Conesus Lake Jc to Livonia has been abandoned. LAL carries mainly food products, grain, fertiliser, timber and building materials.
