SAUDI ARABIA: Saudi Railways Organization has formally awarded Deutsche Bahn's consultancy business DB International a 'mid double-digit million euro' contract to support the construction of the 444 km Haramain High Speed Rail project.
The scope of the work includes reviewing conceptual, preliminary and detailed designs for the railway systems, including track, signalling and telecoms, as well as providing technical assistance for the construction of the control centre and electrification systems and for operations and maintenance.

'In addition to the success of our work in Qatar, the United Arab Emirates and in this case in Saudi Arabia, the Middle East continues to be a major factor behind the company's excellent performance.'
