Leasing company Northrail has placed a firm order for the last 12 Siemens Mobility Vectron Dual Mode electro-diesel locos under a framework contract for up to 30, of which eight have so far been delivered and the rest will arrive by early 2024. The transaction was arranged by Northrail Investment Management.
TMH Bryansk has delivered four TEM18DM diesel shunting locomotives to Kuzbassrazrezugol. Two locomotives will be deployed at the Kaltan coal mine, one at the Bachatsky mine, and one at Krasnobrodsky. Locomotives of the same type have also been delivered to Severstal’s Karelsky Okatysh works.
Spain’s ADIF has awarded FCC Construcción a €195m contract to develop a new yard accesed from the eastern freight bypass which is under construction in Valladolid. The yard will replace the existing facilities in La Esperanza and Argales, and will have seven 750 m long tracks for arriving and departing freights, two sidings of 300 m and 100 m, three tracks for fuelling diesel locomotives, and two parallel 750 m tracks for loading and unloading containers. Sociedad Valladolid Alta Velocidad will provide 542% of the finance, and ADIF the remaining share.
