SLOVENIA: Construction of the first two tunnels for the Divača – Koper second track project has begun.
The second track to the port will use a separate alignment to the existing single-track line. It being built by a consortium of Kolektor CPG, Yapı Merkezi and Özaltin, which began excavating the first two tunnels on the Črni Kal – Koper section of the route on September 20
Tunnel T8 in Dekani will be 3 808 m long, and T7 above the Osapska valley in the Črni Kal area will be 1 154 m long.
Construction of the Črni Kal – Koper section of the new alignment is scheduled to be completed within 36 months.
