CHILE: Metro de Santiago has awarded Colas Rail a €20m contract for the electrification of a southern extension of Santiago metro Line 2.
The scope of work covers the 5·1 km underground extension and enlarged depot. The work is to take three years and Colas will provide five years of maintenance.
Earlier this year a consortium of Colas Rail and ETF was awarded a €36m contract to supply trackwork for the extension and undertake work on depot enlargement.
CHILE: Metro de Santiago has called tenders for construction of the first section of its new east - west Line 7. Bids are due to be submitted by August 26, with the winning bidder expected to be announced in February 2021.
