CHINA: Vossloh has been selected to supply rail fastenings for use in the construction of the 193 km Laixi – Rongcheng passenger-dedicated line in Shandong province.
Authorised in August 2020 and under construction since October that year, the 350 km/h line is intended to provide a more direct route to the east coast than the 250 km/h Qingdao – Rongcheng Intercity Railway opened in 2016.
The contract announced on February 23 is valued at almost €40m, with deliveries due in 2022 and 2023. The fastenings are expected to be supplied by the group’s local subsidiary Vossloh Fastening Systems China Co, which is based at Kunshan, near Shanghai.
