CHINA: Vossloh’s Kunshan-based Vossloh Fastening Systems China business has been awarded a €30m contract to supply rail fastenings for the Guiyang - Nanning high speed line.
The 512 km route which includes 482 km of new line is currently under construction for opening in 2023. It designed for 350 km/h operation, to cut the Nanning – Guiyang journey time from more than 10 h to 2½ h.
Delivery of the fastenings is scheduled to start in 2022. ‘This order win will continue our success story in China, which has been ongoing for over a decade’, said Vossloh CEO Oliver Schuster when the order was announced on July 30. ‘This important win fits seamlessly into our order trend, which has been very encouraging so far this year despite the Covid-19 pandemic, and clearly underlines the above average crisis resistance of our company and our entire industry.’
