INNOTRANS: Electrical instrumentation specialist Knick will be introducing two novel products at this year’s event, a speed signal doubler and a high-voltage transducer.
The P16800 signal multiplier doubles the signals of a speed sensor and converts them to the requisite signal type or frequency. Individual speed sensors are available for several different system controls, and it makes no difference whether an encoder is connected directly or via the P16800. The P16800 is designed for retrofitting on existing rail vehicles.
Knick will also be displaying its P45000 high-voltage transducer for DC voltage measurement on all DC and AC-powered electric trains. It is specifically designed for space-saving and flexible installation in traction inverters and auxiliary power converters. The P45000 has mechanical and electrical interfaces that are standard across the industry, which allows its usage without major design changes to the vehicle.
