INNOTRANS: ‘The mood is positive in the rail industry at the start of this InnoTrans year’, reports trade fair organiser Messe Berlin. It has seen keen international interest in the event on September 20-23 which will have the slogan ‘the future of mobility in times of climate change’.
On January 20 Messe Berlin announced that 98% of the InnoTrans display space was now booked. ‘Continuing high demand shows that after a long break the mobility sector is keen to come together again for the industry’s global platform’, said InnoTrans director Kerstin Schulz.
The 13th InnoTrans will cover 108 000 m2 and 42 halls. The exhibition will have segments devoted to Railway Technology, Railway Infrastructure, Public Transport, Interiors and Tunnel Construction. Mobility+ will form a new part of the Public Transport segment, targeting providers of supplementary mobility services. The 18 Mobility+ exhibitors currently registered including ioki, Mobimeo, Optibus, Door2Door, Better Mobility and CleverShuttle.
According to the organisers, international participation will be as high as that seen at the last event in 2018, with 64% of exhibitors coming from 57 countries outside Germany.
National industry associations taking part will include Swissrail of Switzerland, MAFEX from Spain, Japan’s JORSA, ARIA of South Africa, CAMET of China, CRIDA of Taiwan, KORSIA from South Korea and ALAF of Argentina. The International Monorail Association will be participating from the first time, while Zeleros Hyperloop and Hardt Hyperloop will have a combined stand.
Tickets for InnoTrans must be purchased in advance and will be available for purchase from March.
