CZECH REPUBLIC: The Brno municipal transport operator has taken delivery of a Škoda 45T bidirectional fully low-floor bogie tram with all eight axles powered.
The tram was delivered to Medlánky depot on October 12, and following testing and staff training it is expected to enter passenger service on the newly built route to the university campus by the end of the year. Another four trams are expected at the beginning of next year.
Options in the framework contract placed in February 2021 allow for up to a total of 40 vehicles to be ordered by 2026.
