RUSSIA: The first of 22 PK TS Lionet trams ordered for Kursk has been delivered.
A 25-year PPP agreement for the modernisation of the city’s 42·6 km tram network was signed by the regional authority and transport concessionaire Movista Regions in August 2022.
The Lionet single-section trams will be longer than the city’s existing cars, and the initial vehicle is to be used to check clearances and track geometry on the routes which are to be reconstructed.
