POLAND: The first of 30 Moderus Gamma LF06AC trams which Poznań-based Modertrans is supplying to MPK-Łódź was unveiled on December 8.
The 1 000 mm gauge five-section 80% low-floor unidirectional tram is 32 m long. Features included air-conditioning, passenger information systems, LED lighting, space for bicycles and a wheelchair ramp.
The 268m złoty order was placed in November 2019 with EU co-financing. It forms part of a wider modernisation of the network, which includes renewal of 11 km of track and the Chocianowice depot.
The remaining vehicles from the order are scheduled to be delivered next year.
