POLAND: Operator MPK Wrocław has awarded Pesą Bydgoszcz a 204m złoty firm order for the supply of 24 low-floor trams tailored for the needs of the city, with options for 16 more which could take the total value to 337·5m złoty.
The 29 m long three-section trams will be based on the manufacturer’s Twist design.
The contract was signed on December 20, with the first vehicle to be delivered within 24 months and the rest within 37 months.
Price accounted for less than 50% of the tender evaluation, in which Pesą scored 95·95 points out of 100 and its competitor Modertrans scored 88·96.
